The Streets I Feared to See

I said: "Let me walk in the field."
God said: "Nay, walk in the town."
I said: "There are no flowers there."
He said: "No flowers, but a crown."
I said: "But the sky is black,
There is nothing but noise and din."
But He wept as He sent me back,
"There is more," He said, "there is sin."

I said: "But the air is thick,
And fog is veiling the sun."
He answered: "Yet souls are sick,
And souls in the dark undone."
I said: "I shall miss the light,
And friends will miss me, they say."
He answered me: "Chose tonight
If I am to miss you, or they."
I pleaded for time to be given.
He said: "Is it hard to decide?
It will not seem hard in Heaven
To have followed the steps of your
Guide."

I cast one look at the fields,
Then set my face to the town.
He said, "My child, do you yield?
Will you leave the flowers for the
crown?"
Then into His hand went mine,
And into my heart came He;
And I walk in a light Divine
The streets I had feared to see.

No Computer is Infallable

Nope, no computer is infallible. Ours crashed :( So, I may not post regularly for a while, only when I can borrow a computer (like now) or when we get our computer fixed. I'll let you all know when that happens.

Goings On

Well it's been a bit longer than I'm used to since I've posted something substantial. My life seems to just keep getting busier! On Wednesday our family was invited by a friend to join her and her family on a pontoon boat on Bass Lake! That was so awesome! We were out there for most of the day; we even had a BBQ on the boat! That morning was nice and sunny and then later in the afternoon we got to experience a thunder storm (on shore of course) and after it blew over we went back out! Then when we were done we went and had ice cream at The Forks. It was such a great day!

Speaking of thunder storms, we've had quite a few of them this past week. I just love hearing the loud
crack of the thunder and seeing the sky light up from lightning strikes! Fortunately, our power never went out! That was a plus!

I'm in the middle of a great book called Schindler's List, I'm really liking it so far. It's a WWII book. (WWII is my study hobby) I would be really excited if anyone has a favorite WWII book to suggest to me!

We have finally started our summer job of cleaning Bass Lake rentals on the weekends and I'm also starting a job as a secretary for a friend during the week (starting tomorrow)!

I finished my English course and, not to boast, but I got an A+ on the course! (Sometime in the future I'll probably take more online collage classes, I really like them!)

We are going to move my grandma in with us this month! I simply can't wait! It'll be so wonderful to have her right here with us! She is probably as excited as us to be coming. She is so great! I'm glad God gave her to us!

Next month is when we move out beds out on the deck to escape the heat in the house at night. I love moving out there for the summer! It's like a vacation even though it's at home :) The stars and planets are my favorite, not to mention it's a wonderful way to watch shooting stars and meteor showers! The only down side to it is when there is a full moon, it's like trying to sleep with the light on when we have a full moon. But the crescent moons are awesome!

I'm looking forward to a full summer and I can't wait to see what God has in store for my family! I'd love to hear what your all planning for the summer!
