Pray Continually

As I was reading Before you Meet Prince Charming by Sarah Mally, I came across something I really thought was necessary in my life!  Let me tell you what she says;

Have you ever prayed for a whole hour?  Find a place where you can be alone without interruptions for an entire hour.  If this isn't possible at your home during the day, go to a park, an empty room at your church, or consider getting up in the middle of the night.  Spend the hour in communion with the Lord.  To help you stay focused,write a schedule for yourself to follow.  Heres a sample pattern you could use:

5 minutes - worship
5 minutes - thanksgiving
5 minutes - confession
5 minutes - pray Psalms to the Lord
5 minutes - pray for your authorities
5 minutes - pray for missionaries
5 minutes - pray for unsaved friends and family
5 minutes - other general requests
5 minutes - ask for wisdom, grace and humility in specific areas in which you need to change
5 minutes - personal requests
5 minutes - ask for Gods abundant blessing
5 minutes - praise and thanksgiving

I've decided to try to do this daily.  After all how do you get to know someone personally without spending time with them?  I would encourage you to put forth an effort to try to do this daily as well.  The Lord loves us with His all and longs to have us know Him in a special, personal way.  To get this we need to ask Him to show us Himself, we need to spend time meditating on His word and listening to Him, and we need to spend time praying to Him.

I would really like to get your feedback on this and let me know what you think about all this. Maybe you can pick someone to keep you accountable, a parent, an older sibling, or another sister in Christ.  It's wonderful to pray with others too, getting together with others is great! But just getting alone with your Lord and pouring your heart out to Him is such a beautiful thing!  Just spend time siting with Him, listening to him, crying to Him, pouring your love on Him, delighting in Him, just let Him overwhelm your whole being!  It's the most special thing that we have the privilege to partake of, He gives us each His undivided attention, lets give Him ours!

I totally agree with you!! :)
I mean totally how are people supposed to understand what all God has for them and His love and all, and His plans for our life if they don't spend anytime with Him.
